The Community Youth Center Warehouse is now open on Tuesdays 3:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturdays 7 to 10:30 pm. All community youth in 7th through 12th grades are encouraged to come and enjoy the new center located on church Street directly behind Cornerstone Bakery and Ferguson Plumbing. The facility will be open on additional days of the week after more volunteers are recruited to assist with the programs. VOLUNTEERS ARE URGENTLY NEEDED. On Saturday, June 28, 2008, we will have a Summerfest and Open House from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the new facility. We will have a live auction beginning at noon, silent auction with tables closing at 1:30 p.m. and food to raise funds for the furnishings for the facility.
PLEASE donate large items such as vehicles, furniture, lamps, appliances, paintings, antiques, shop tools, for the live auction, and small appliances, jewelry, wooden carvings, gift certificates, and other desirables for the silent auction. Please ask for a receipt from the church as donations may be tax deductible.
Donations may be delivered to the Community United Methodist Church Education Building on Church Street just behind the church sanctuary on Wednesday, June 25, or Thursday, June 26.
